Chalkboard

This gallery portrays a variety of elements including fine motor development, beginning writing, early literacy, self-expression, and creative representation. Often times a child or a group of children will comment on the images created by the child on the chalkboard, which often leads to a lively social exchange and self-esteem is enhanced. Frequently I am called on to take a picture of the child’s creation. This is the perfect opportunity to nurture the child, engage the child in descriptive language and give the child another opportunity to gain proficiency in the main components of language, listening, speaking, reading and writing.
